EADS North America Thursday formally opened a $6 million aircraft maintenance center at Mobile Regional Airport, in Alabama.

Capt. Chesley B. Sullenberger III lifted US Airways Flight 1427 off from La Guardia Airport on Thursday -- his first return to the cockpit since landing an Airbus A320 in the Hudson river after birds knocked out both engines in January.
