You almost have to feel bad for Microsoft. The software maker isn't known for hip marketing tactics, and now that a Windows 7 video has hit it big online, people are laughing at the company, not with it.

Tabletop UI, wireless power and more from Intel Labs Seattle
The folks at Intel Labs Seattle, located near the University of Washington campus, are as always hard at work on breakthrough technologies. At their open house on Monday, I took a look at a few of their more promising projects, including an interactive tabletop user interface, wireless electricity transmission, and computers' expanding abilities to identify everyday objects.

How to earn that 'Windows 7' logo
Microsoft has so far approved more than 6,000 products to be emblazoned with the "Compatible with Windows 7" logo, after having changed some criteria for earning the upcoming operating system's seal of compatibility, Microsoft said Wednesday.
