Food/Dining/Wine

A plea for disgorgement dates
Not to distract from the Thanksgiving fray (though if you want more thoughts about wine help, try this, this or this) but let's dial back for a moment to my piece this week on American sparkling wines. We visit that topic almost every year, but for some reason the top ranks of this year's lineup combined the refinement that some wines have demonstrated for years with the perception that some others have stepped up their games. This is happening not only at the top end but across many ranges; it's great to see Schramsberg's J. Schram is such terrific form, but also great to see how good their nonvintage Mirabelle wines have become.
