I've gotten a number of inquiries lately asking about how the One Barrel project is coming along. It has been two months (zut alors!) since last I got to a One Barrel post, and what had been intended as the next post has been sitting in the oven on "Warm" for over a month. Hence kind of dried out. So just to quickly bring everyone up to speed ... Amsterdam comfort food warms the soul
One of my favorite Dutch comfort dishes is stampott, a mash of potatoes and another vegetable. It's easy to eat when you're cold and tired, and works well with variations. Apple Streusal Pie
