I never do this because a news release only gives you Microsoft's marketing message; my job is to break through the bull. Microsoft asks for rehearing in Word case – but why? Microsoft has filed for the rehearing of a patent-infringement case that slapped the software company with $290 million in fines and a restriction on selling Word in the U.S. But with Microsoft saying it is now in compliance, why is it putting up such a fight?
