WSU signs defensive end from Tacoma
Xavier Cooper, an All-Narrows League defensive end from Wilson High in Tacoma, signed a letter of intent to Washington State University on Tuesday to become the 24th member of coach Paul Wulff's latest recruiting class.

Two more football players have signed to play at Washington State.

The Seahawks' new offensive coordinator says quarterback Matt Hasselbeck "has been incredible" learning his new system. He says running backs Julius Jones and Justin Forsett fit Seattle's new offense well. And he declines to discuss Walter Jones' status for 2010.
