Ryanair won't pick up volcano-related hotel and food bills
Budget carrier Ryanair is refusing to pay the hotel and food bills of passengers stranded by the volcanic ash cloud, despite European Union consumer rules, the U.K. Guardian newspaper reported Wednesday.

Microsoft launches beta of Office Web Apps for Facebook
Google has been getting all up in Microsoft's business with its online Google Docs. Though Microsoft plans to fire back with Office Web Apps, soon to be released in conjunction with Office 2010, the software superpower has another plan.

Airline revenues up in March; Volcano will hit April
U.S. Airlines saw passenger revenues rise 15.4 percent in March from a year earlier, as the recovery continued to take hold, the Air Transport Association of America reported Wednesday.

Boeing Chairman, President and Chief Executive Jim McNerney on Wednesday fired back at EADS North America, which issued the first shots in a renewed Air Force aerial refueling tanker battle a day earlier.

Google discloses demands for censorship, user data
The Associated Press reports: The country-by-country breakdown released Tuesday on Google's Web site marks the first time that the Internet search leader has provided such a detailed look at the censorship and data requests that it gets from regulators, courts and other government agencies. The figures, for the roughly 100 countries in which it operates, cover the final half of last year and will be updated every six months.

Aviation Week: Airbus delays assembly, first flight of A350
Airbus is delaying the start of final assembly and first flight of its A350 XWB by several months because of longer-than-anticipated design activities, Aviation Week reported Tuesday.

Yahoo gets $78M from Microsoft as search deal spins up
Remember last summer, when Microsoft said it would have some transitional costs for its newly announced search partnership with Yahoo? Turns out that's $150 million, and $78 million has already gone to the Internet company.

Is Delta bailing on Boeing 787 Dreamliner?
Delta Air Lines doesn't need new trans-ocean airplanes and is talking with Boeing about what to do with its 787 Dreamliner delivery slots, Delta Chief Executive Richard Anderson said during a Tuesday conference call to discuss first-quarter earnings.
