Microsoft sues Datel over Xbox 360 controllers
Microsoft has sued Datel, the gaming-accessory company, over its third-party Xbox 360 controllers, alleging the U.K. company infringed five Microsoft patents.

A federal appeals court has denied Microsoft's request for en banc review of its patent-infringement loss to i4i Inc., which required the software juggernaut to strip some XML capabilities from Word.

I'll admit, I nearly had a heart attack when I rolled over in bed this morning, checked my e-mail and saw an article on Microsoft's giving $750 million to civic improvement in the Seattle area. Then I woke up a bit and realized it was April 1.

Denver, San Diego to get next Microsoft retail stores
Nearly six months after opening its first two (recent) retail stores, Microsoft announced it will open its third and fourth in Denver and San Diego.

Microsoft (poorly) attacks Google over Chrome privacy
No doubt Microsoft and Mozilla are getting a little antsy over the strong growth of Google's Web browser, Chrome. Microsoft, of course, has the most-used browser in Internet Explorer, but its market share is shrinking as Firefox and Chrome gain in popularity.
