Possible bus cuts have cities talking secession from Pierce Transit
In transportation news:

ORCA card, one year later
The ORCA smart card is celebrating its first birthday this week. As transit officials blow out the candle, about 470,000 customers now use the card to ride transit with seven agencies in seven counties around the Puget Sound region.

Light rail delayed by mechanical problems
Sound Transit reports that southbound train platforms are closed Wednesday morning at the Mount Baker and Beacon Hill stations due to mechanical issues. Riders are advised to board trains in both directions on the northbound platforms.

Sounder train gets delayed by suspicious package on tracks
KOMO/4 reports a suspicious package was found Tuesday on the tracks about 4.5 miles south of King Street Station. Several routes have been delayed.

Campaign: Seattle could do more for cyclists and walkers
If you bike on a street that needs a sharrow, or walk in a neighborhood that has no sidewalks, you'll be happy to hear about a new campaign that plans to push for more city funding to support alternative modes of transportation.
