King Felix cements credentials for Cy Young in win over Rangers
ARLINGTON, Texas -- Felix Hernandez allowed one run over eight innings in another dominating start, maybe his last of the season, as the last-place Mariners beat the AL West champion Texas Rangers 3-1 on Tuesday night.

P-I polls: Should (and will) Felix win the Cy Young?
Two questions foremost on the minds of Mariners fans in the wake of what might have been Felix Hernandez's final start of the season Tuesday.

Report: Zduriencik to be back with Mariners
Foxsports.com's Ken Rosenthal quoted Mariners president Chuck Armstrong as saying that general manager Jack Zduriencik will be back with the club next year.

Seattle Mariners third baseman Jose Lopez is out of the game at Texas after a hard-hit grounder ricocheted off his throwing hand.
